The Rest of our Summer Summing up August

We spent the rest of August finishing packing up the old house and moving to the new house…down the street. Here's Macee enjoying a nap in her new room.

Hair-dos we never have time for during the school year!
I would love to do my girls' hair every day if I had the time and if they would let me! haha We settle for every once in awhile getting onto our favorite hair website cutegirlshairstyles.com to get some ideas and try stuff out. :) This was Maddi's pick.

So fun to feel big!

All fixed! We laugh about our "nice shiny hood" that doesn't quite match the rest of the Van with it's many scratches on the sides. :) We were certainly glad to get it back though!

Maddi's giant flower that she painted in Kindergarten. I love these! But it was time to say goodbye so we took a picture for memories. :)

Pool Days with Friends

Neighborhood Play!
Almost every summer since we've lived here our kids have practiced throughout the summer and then performed a play with their good friends who live in our neighborhood. It seems to get bigger and better each year!
This year it was musical/play. Complete with costume changes, background music, additional cast members and glow and the dark costumes for the finale. They put a lot of work into it and it's very fun to see the creativity. It also provides many opportunities to work on getting along with others, compromising working through disagreements, including others, etc…haha

They had a lemonade stand all together and used some of their earnings to buy enough glow sticks to cover their costumes. Pretty cute!

We were really missing the Henries in August so a surprise little visit from one of them was super exciting!

 More Hair Practice

School Shopping Date with Maddi…and Macee by default!

Can't even remember what we had been doing this day but it looks like we wore Macee out! This is a frequent occurrence in her life. :)
