Family Reunion July 2013 Steamboat Springs

On the way to Colorado for my Family's Reunion we stopped in Utah to see Lance's family over 24th of July 

Some of our family enjoyed the fun Splash Pad….

While some of us had fun in the Emergency Room with Mia who came down with a stomach flu that they were worried was a ruptured appendix. Thankfully after 7 hours in the hospital with lots of tests they decided she was ok and after a couple of days she was back to normal! Definitely not the way you want to start a vacation but in true Mia spirit she still wanted to keep up with everyone and everything and refused to miss out on all the fun! 

All of my siblings were pass through Utah on the same day so we all met up with Grandma Tresa so she could see all the Grandchildren in one place.  

The girls got to be in the Bountiful  24th of July Parade with Grandma and Grandpa Nelson.

Our poor Van after we got in a fender bender right after arriving in Steamboat Springs. Thankfully no one was hurt and the car still ran…but we were without air conditioning the whole ride home to California. Made for a memorable Road Trip! haha (Definitely wasn't a laughing matter at the time… but 6 months later as I post this we can find the humor!)

Macee reading her favorite book all about dogs. :) She developed a huge Love/Scared relationship with dogs. She was utterly facinated with them and could spot a dog from a mile away and she would often chase them in parks but once they came too close she was terrified. :)

Thanks to Spray bottles from Grandma and driving through the desert at night we survived but I don't think we'll ever forget that drive home. :) 

When it got too hot we would tell the girls to spray themselves with water and then we'd roll the windows down for a few seconds and blast everyone out!
