Mia's Class Play

We Come From Everywhere
Mia was SO excited about her class play this year. She had a lot of lines to memorize but she was very motivated to learn them, and I think learned everyone else's lines too! She had to sing all by herself and was so brave. So fun to watch. :)

Best Day Ever!!!

Every once in awhile you have a day that just feels "perfect". For me those moments come when I'm watching my children express pure and utter joy through something simple...like the rain.

This particular day was during Thanksgiving break but it must have been a Saturday because Lance was home with us and it rained...hard...for about 3 hours straight. Since rain is the closest we get to winter weather I splurged this year on rain boots, and rain coats for the girls on those few days when they have to go to school when it's pouring and this one day made it all worth it! We let them go outside while it was pouring down and they spent a good solid hour just playing in the rain. So often I find myself telling the kids not to get dirty, to be careful because of this or that, and on and on that it's nice every once in awhile to be able to say just GO FOR IT. It's okay if you get wet, have fun!

Maddi's Class Play

In December Maddi's class put on the Gingerbread Man Play. She was an adorable little farmer and worked so hard on learning her parts. Maddi can be shy sometimes when in the spotlight so I told Lance to prepare for tears and possibly lack of participation but to our utter surprise Maddi had no fear at all and sang her part as loud as she could. It was adorable and so fun to watch!

Macee 6 months old November 22nd

Macee turned 6 months right around Thanksgiving. She started sitting up right about this time and it was so fun to see her really play with toys. We thought she was starting to get teeth but they didn't end up coming until 4 months later!!! She started eating solid foods and loved peas, bananas, green beans, carrots etc etc. And still continued to be our go-with-the-flow baby! Over the last year with her Lance and I found ourselves many times looking at each other and just saying..."I can't believe how EASY she is!" and then followed by..."I'm so grateful!" Around this time we really started to see her personality emerge as well. She had such a sweet temperament, and loved to be held, however she did not enjoy being cuddled at all. It cracks us up because she's so loving but when we hold her she immediately tries to turn herself around to see what's going on around her. She's was always so observant, and every once in awhile we'd get a little hug from her and then we just soak it up. But we could tell with 3 older sisters, she had a lot to observe and study so she could figure out how to keep up once she was on the move. :)
