Lights on Gemini

Lights on Gemini Street. 

One of our favorite Christmas Traditions is to go walk through a neighborhood here where every house on the block has a different theme of lights and wooden characters.  In the past we had good friends who would invite a bunch of people to meet up to look at the lights together and then join up at the end for hot chocolate and cookies. They moved recently and we all miss them so Lance and I decided to carry on the tradition ourselves. Such a blast!

Random December 2013

Sick and Cuddly. 

Macee our always on-the-go, baby got sick along with the rest of us. I think our family spent the majority of December sick! It started about the 2nd week of December and we all got some type of flu/bronchitis thing. Every couple days another person would come down with it ending with ME (I normally NEVER get what my kids get). Macee was second to last to get it so this was her feverish day and the beginning of me getting sick. The plus side...we spent lots of time cuddling like this. :) I guess I should add that Ella NEVER got sick the whole time. We were all amazed/impressed.

Maddi and her Nativity Project. She came home from church one day with this little manger made out of a lunch sack but true to herself Maddi felt like it needed something more so she spent a good couple hours cutting up tiny pieces of paper to create "Hay" for the manger. :)  

After Thanksgiving Nov. 2013 Visit with the Silvas

Lance's sister and her family were in town for Thanksgiving w her husband's fam so we got to see them for a day while passing through. We were all SO excited to have some family around!

Thanksgiving 2014

Some friends invited us to their Annual "Turkey Trot" in the morning. Good way to start the day of feasting. :)

We really missed our Families and the Henries this Thanksgiving but we were grateful this year to new friends who invited us to spend Thanksgiving with THIER family this year. :)

It was very different this year to only cook a few sides to contribute to the meal rather than doing at least half of it. I think at least every other year we've cooked a turkey!  Lance and I both love the cooking part of thanksgiving but I can't say it wasn't a nice relaxing difference for a change! haha.
