Halloween Party at the Library

It was too rainy to go to the park today for our Moms and Tots group but Mia's friend Abigail told us about a Halloween Party they were having for Story Time at the library today. We love the library, candy, and any excuse to get dressed up in fun costumes so we were in! Mia had a blast listening to the story (and asking the poor librarian Why? Why? Why? as she was reading), making her "Halloween Headband" and Treats . I didn't bring my camera but Rachael was nice enough to take this picture and email it to me! What a fun day.

Grandpa Bradbury's Visit

Grandpa Bradbury came to visit us this past weekend and Mia and Maddi had a blast! Mia had a little too much fun and decided to wake up at 4 am and then not take a nap which explains the passing out on the couch sunday afternoon!

This is Mia hanging out with Grandpa after she had woken him up at 4 am while he was visiting, decided to get dressed in an awesome outfit and then continued to entertain him until 5 am when her really responsible parents realized that she was WIDE awake at 5 am and insisted that she go BACK to sleep! Poor Grandpa!

For Grandpa Nelson

The other night we realized Maddi is going on 7 months and hasn't had her first taste of Ice Cream so in honor of Grandpa Nelson (who loves to be the first to give the Grandkids their first taste of ice cream) Lance let Maddi try a bite of his the other night when we were all eating it! She was thoroughly impressed.

Water Babies

So the hotel we stayed at in Chicago had a pool and when we returned from our exciting City adventures we had to take advantage of the opportunity to go swimming. This was a first for Maddi. The Pool was SO warm it was like swimming in a bath tub. Maddi especially liked this and just lounged the entire time in her floaty. Mia our fearless swimmer had a blast jumping off the edge of pool regardless of whether or not someone was waiting to catch her! We are the awesome parents who took a picture without realizing that our child was underwater at the time (the first picture) but if you look closely you can see that she is still totally smiling! We thought that was so funny!

Train Ride in Chicago

Last weekend for Lance's "Fall Break" we took a trip to Chicago to visit the temple and take advantage of the Shedd Aquarium's "Free Day". We took the train from the temple to downtown Chicago. A first for all of us... but lots of fun!
