Mom and Mia Date Night October 2014

So my Grandma's funeral fell on the weekend of Lance's Birthday but it ALSO fell on the weekend of the Relief Society broadcast that girls 8 years old and older are invited to attend with their mothers. This was a really special night for Mia and I last year when she attended for the first time and we were both heartbroken knowing that I wouldn't be here to go with her! :( We talked a lot about it and how we could watch it together later or she could go with a friend. She initially decided she wanted to wait for me to watch it with her but when a good friend offered to take Mia with her daughter, Mia decided she'd be comfortable with that and I was so grateful she got to go that night! BUT even still a make-up date together was still in order so in October we had a fun night getting pedicures! Sure love this cute growing girl!!!

I went with my typical pink but Mia was really excited to get mint green with polka dots! :)

Soccer Pics! October 2014

Somehow we missed the free soccer picture day this year. We came all dressed and ready at the time we were told and everything had been cleaned up already...whoops! I decided we couldn't let all that time doing hair go to waste so I took the girls up to a nice shady hill at the soccer park and we took our own! Not too bad! Might even like these better than the "professional" ones! ;)

General Conference Weekend October 2014

One of my favorite weekends of the year! We had to improvise with soccer games all day Saturday but still a great chance to be together. :)

More Random September 2014

Sunday afternoon... enjoying some downtime

Sunday afternoon ice-cream cones

A friend who had moved the year before stopped by for an afternoon visit so we gathered a few of Macee's friends at the park.

My friend and neighbor Ashley had twins in September! Super fun for all of us to help hold them any chance we got.

LOVE

Hanging out at Soccer practice

Macee really started to enjoy playing house with the girls. She calls it "Puppy House" because when she's not playing the part of a Mommy or a Baby she plays the part of the puppy!

A beautiful park where Ella had soccer practice!

For about the first month of school Macee insisted on bringing HER backpack too. She would walk into Ella's classroom and hang it up on one of the hooks and then after a few seconds take it down so we could go home. :)

Grandma Bradbury's Funeral September 2014

My Grandma Bradbury (My Dad's Mom) passed away at the end of September 2014. She had been having a lot of back issues and had recently had a back surgery and she kept telling people she was just tired of being in pain so we were happy for her that her pain could be relieved, however it still came as a shock as she seemed so healthy in other ways! I am so grateful for this time we've lived in California because it's allowed us to see my Grandma at least once a year if not more for the last 5 years as we travel right through St. George where she was living on our way to see Family in Utah. My girls have made memories with her that they and I will always cherish. She was such an amazing lady with such strength and energy and a desire to learn and grow. I always loved talking to her because she never seemed to forget what it was like to be at my stage of life. She was also so supportive of all my efforts at being a wife and Mom and would always give me encouragement and tell me what a good job I was doing. Even when she started to slow down she would drive over in her own car to my Aunts House in St. George to come see us as we passed through St. George and even if the visit was only an hour long she would be dressed to the nines to come see us. It was just her way... always Glamourous. Getting to be at her funeral with all of my siblings and my Dad was such a treat a special memory for me. I ended up flying into Salt Lake,  and then I drove with ALL of my sisters to St. George. Four hours in the car together without any children was like taking a step back in time and such a blissful moment. On the way home my brother joined us and all 5 of us siblings drove together back to Salt Lake... such a happy memory for me and I can't remember the last time we were in that situation...maybe a family road trip growing up?!
