Just another Sunday

This was the best shot we got, and I did take quite a few. :) Mia is really into experimenting with interesting faces when we are trying to take a picture. At least everyone's ALMOST looking at the camera

We had a very uncharacteristically NON-Busy Sunday morning, and had time to get dinner ready, watch a Church movie, paint toe-nails, and curl hair, all before Church and still had time to kill before we left, and what do I do with spare time....Take Pictures! :) I have to take advantage of everyone ready, in nice clothes all at the same time. These last few pictures are of the girls and Lance enjoying our last few days with our Friend's Wii. We are watching their house while they are gone for a month and they have been letting us borrow the Wii . I was just cracking up watching how into it they all were.

Purdue Fountain

On Saturday we went to the Purdue Fountain to hang out, and also so I could take some pictures for the photography class I am taking, and I took a break a few times to take pictures of the Fam. :)

Fourth of July

Mia and her good friend Gracie having fun at the Purdue Fireworks Show

I am taking a photography class right now and took this one since we are learning about "line"

Our Fourth of July Art Work.

Mia was so excited when she came home from the Bike Parade and kept talking about how Gracie was right behind the drumming Girl and so we figured out a way to help her and Maddi recreate the parade, with Mia getting to be the "Drumming Girl"

Fourth of July was interesting this year! It's one of my favorite holidays. I love the sun, I love the bar-b-que food, I love dressing up in Patriotic colors (yes, I'm one of those) :), and I love sitting on a blanket late at night watching the fireworks show at the end of it all! This year the plans had to change a little bit since Maddi had been really sick since Tuesday and wasn't getting any better on Friday. So Lance and Mia attended the bike parade in the morning, and then were off to the bar-b-que with friends while Maddi and I had a blast in the ER for a few hours (everything turned out fine) and then returned home where we both pretty much crashed, and Lance and Mia headed down to Campus to watch the Purdue Fireworks Show. I was really glad that Lance and Mia got to have some Father Daughter bonding time and that at least some of us in the Family got to celebrate, and as luck would have it Maddi woke up Saturday morning, happy and healthy and has continued like that for two days straight, so that's something to be thankful for, and we can now look forward to next year. :)

Another note on Prayers

While Maddi is learning to fold her arms when we say prayers, Mia is learning the "art" of a carefully crafted prayer. :) Usually at dinner she will offer her prayer, and about half way through the meal she will tell us that she forgot to pray for something and we will say, ok, go ahead and, like tonight for instance, she will say "And please bless us, that we can go outside after dinner, and eat a popsicle and candy, and watch a movie" We are so glad that she is learning how meaningful and personal prayers can be, and I think we'll worry about distinguishing between a prayer and a Santa Claus Wish list later. :)
It does crack us up though.

Saying Prayers

If we say Maddi fold your arms to say prayers, she will do this. These are the things that melt my heart!

Awesome Outfit of the Week

We've got the awesome white baseball hat (Mia has been asking me for months now to get her a hat like this), purple long sleeved shirt, with the hot pink Capri pants, and salmon colored socks pulled up to her knees (No they aren't MEANT to be knee socks) all in 90 degree weather. Quite Creative. :)

Crazy Girls

Maddi has become the ultimate CLIMBER lately. She will climb on anything and she's actually very good at it. She can climb all the way up on top of our Kitchen table. Her favorite thing to climb on is the coffee table. And I'm probably not helping myself out reinforcing the behavior by taking pictures of it, but hey I figure I have to pick my battles! And don't ask me how or why she has the beaded necklace on her arms like a shirt!

Father's Day

I am so grateful that my girls get to have Lance as their Dad! He is such a fun, sweet Dad, and also an awesome help to me in whatever I could possibly want or need. Father's Day was a bit crazy for us since I had meetings before church, meaning Lance had to get the girls "ready" (I did dress them before I left) and bring them to Church by himself, and then Maddi was struggling with an ear infection after church, but I think all in all it ended up nice!
Lance's Gift the "Art of Shaving" My brother in law, Kelly sold Lance on this stuff while we were in Seattle and Lance just had to try it out, and I have a feeling he may never go back to anything else!

Goodbye to Good Friends

Reagan and Mia's Last playdate

As excited as we were to GO on our trip we new coming home would be sad because yet some more good friends would be gone by the time we got back! The down side to living in such a fun College Town. Every year it seems like we have to say goodbye to really good friends. This is Mia's little friend Reagan who she adored. She now asks me when we are going to move and get a new house like Reagan. :)

Happy Birthday to Me....27!!!

I got to celebrate my Birthday numberous times between our trip and coming home when my actual Birthday fell.

Mia Singing Happy Birthday to me at Home on my actual Birthday with my awesome Key Lime Pie! My present from Lance and the girls....a label maker!!!! My real gift was our trip and Lance hanging out with me and my Family for almost two weeks, but since he wanted to get me something to open that day I gave him a specific request... a label maker. And let me just say that I have been in heaven using it. :) The Joy of being a "little bit" OCD.

Strawberry Picking

Since we moved to Indiana 3 years ago, I have been wanting to go pick strawberries and after we got back from our Trip in May, this was one of the first things we did. Our goal was to pick 20 pounds so that we could freeze some, and make freezer jam with the rest, and after about 2 hours of picking, and completing 2 rows, we were all pretty tired, and we were hoping that we had picked at least 10 pounds. When they added it all up we had picked 45 pounds!!!! Needless to say, we have LOTS and LOTS of freezer jam. We had a wonderful time though, such a great family activity.

Swim Lessons

Well I am officially done catching up on our May Trips! And on to the rest of our Summer....When we got back from Seattle Mia started her first swim lesson. It lasted for about two weeks and she learned all sorts of fun stuff, like how to kick her legs, on her back and tummy, blowing bubbles, putting her face in the water etc etc. Two of her good friends Abigail and Elise were also in the class which made it even more fun.

Grandpa Bradbury

We got to see my dad (aka Grandpa Bradbury) for a couple days during our Seattle stay and had fun having a bar-b-que at his house and then going for a walk in the park.
Most of these pictures are ones he took!
