Maddi's First Birthday

I'm about a week late on this, but on April 7th we celebrated Maddi's 1st Birthday with some Friends and we all had a blast!

Fun Birthday Outfit!

Off to chase some more wrapping paper! Her favorite "gift" by far. However a close second were her Little People School Bus from Mommy and Daddy, and the fun Pink Cell Phone from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson ( Thank You!) And Mommy is throughly enjoying the cute outfit from Uncle Layne and Aunt Karen, and the beautiful Quilt from Grandma Tresa. And thank you to everyone else who sent cards and Money!

Let the Cake Smashing Begin! I always opt for Cupcakes and my kids' First Birthdays. They seem to be the perfect size and as you will see in a second the smaller size doesn't lessen the amount of mess they are able to make at all!

She Started off SlowAnd stayed at a Steady Pace....
For Quite awhile....So long that we all began to pay attention to other things....

Such as the dainty cupcake eating that was going on at the Princess Table....While Maddi Continued

and Continued...

the cupcake DESTRUCTION!!!!
And then proceeded DIRECTLY off to the bath! A first Birthday Can't get much better than that!

Mia's First Birthday Party

We had a blast putting on Mia's first real Birthday party. The little girls were all so cute dancing around in their princess wings and crowns and Mia had so much fun the whole time.

Pink Kitty Cat cake Mia asked for Specifically. I was just glad you could tell what it was when I was finished! :)

Lance and I took Mia on a "Date" with us in the Morning before her party. We went to Breakfast and then she got to take her birthday money and pick out a toy to buy. So thank you to all the family who sent her birthday money. You all helped contribute to a little baby doll car seat which has been very well used.

I think one of Mia's favorite parts of her Birthday party was at the end when Lance played one of her new games with her.

Easter

I'm a little late on this one, but here are some Easter Pics! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Nelson for the dress you sent Mia for her Birthday. She LOVED it! We had a little "incident" while taking these pictures- Maddi got a little too excited and conked Mia in the face, hence the "sad" faces in some of these photos. We had a wonderful Easter though, a week before Easter we had a Youth Fireside that all the leaders had to help out with and it was such a neat experience. We simulated the life of Christ through sound and touch along with Music and Narration and the kids were blindfolded the whole time. I was amazed at how quiet the youth were (it kind of makes you want to use blindfolds more often ;)) for the entire hour and a half. It was fun to be a part of it especially right around Easter.
