Mother's Day

Mother's Day never fails to fall during a crazy time for us. In the past we've always been traveling and seeing family, and this year it was the day before we left for a week long Disney Trip! We tried to keep things simple since we have 9am church so I told Lance not to worry about doing anything for breakfast and then he could make a yummy breakfast dinner with my favorite thing he makes, omelets, that evening! Well it was so cute because the girls took it upon themselves to make breakfast for me and Grandma that morning. They literally did everything themselves from the homemade placemats, to the toast, bananas, cut-up apples,  yogurt, and orange juice and all without fighting! :) Such a fun surprise!

So grateful to be the Mom of these 4!

So lucky to be the daughter of this wonderful Mom!

The homemade cards they make at school have to be my favorite thing about Mother's Day. :)

So fun to have my Mom with us again this Mother's Day!

We all got to enjoy the beautiful Roses my Sister sends every year to my Mom on Mother's Day.

I work in the primary with the sweetest primary president there ever was! She is not married and doesn't have children of her own so we planned a little surprise for her and had all the primary kids write down or draw a picture of what they love about Sister Canfield and then they sang some songs for her and gave her the hearts at the end of the primary along with lots of hugs! I love this picture of them all clamoring to get to her! :)

Ella being Ella...and taking a break from packing with me! :)

Bartholomew's Visit

On May 5th 2014 we got a quick little visit from Lance's sister Lisa and her family while they were on their way to Disneyland! When they called to tell us they were coming to Disneyland we had just booked our trip the week right AFTER their trip! Just barely missed crossing paths! We found ourselves wishing we had gone the week they went though bc the weather was nice and cool this week, and was the hottest of the year the week we went! Oh well! So glad we got to have dinner, and swim with them for a night. :)

Weird pic due to the flash going off on Uncle Jason's camera at the same time! :)

Business Change for Lance

Early this year Lance bought into the practice he has been working for these past 4 years to become part owner. We went out to dinner with his Boss-turned-business partners to celebrate the new change! Lance always knew he wanted to own his own practice so we've been working towards this happening the last couple of years and it all finally came together. We are excited that we get to stay here in California (even though there's a big part of me that would kill to live near family!) and excited for Lance in this new journey!

Beautiful Westlake...hadn't been here before! :)

Easter!

Easter feel at the end of Spring Break for us and it was nice to spend the week at home dying easter eggs, a lunch out with friends for me,  an Easter Egg Hunt with friends from church for the girls, Daddy daughter date for Ella, a temple trip, and a lovely Easter Dinner with some friends to join us last minute!

My favorite way to dye Easter Eggs. Take them out of the boiling water, put them in a little bowl so you don't have to directly touch them and draw on them with a crayon, the heat makes the crayon melt as you draw! So fun...Less Messy! :)

Maddi and Ella enjoyed drawing on their eggs, then "erasing" the drawings with a paper towel and staring over, they finally ended with very light colors on their eggs so it looks almost like nothing at all but they sure had fun! :)

Easter Egg Hunt! :)

Easter Sunday!

This particular Sunday Macee just insisted on carrying her own church bag, it was actually pretty heavy and she fell flat on her little face about 2 seconds after this picture and then continued to fall at least 3 or 4 more times as we proceeded up the walkway to the building but she would NOT let me help with that bag. :) She was trying so hard to sling it up onto her shoulder. Too cute!

End of April 2014..Almost 2...Getting So Old...

Just had to stop and take a few pics of this little cutie on this particular day. My sister had sent a box of clothes to my girls and we were trying some of the stuff on Macee (just a note that this cute little outfit was worn by my niece Chloe when she was 4...the pants are actually meant to be capri length but still!! haha) and she's wearing my favorite boots of all time that have been passed down since Mia. But mostly it's crazy how fast time flies and how grown up she's getting!
