Family Pictures October 2013

 A good friend of ours offered to trade pictures with us for Christmas Cards this year. So she took our pictures and I took hers. We left for the beach at about 7 in the morning with both families and trading off. Kind of crazy but it worked! I'm sure I got the better end of the deal bc she is an awesome photographer!

Macee was so expressive and cute. She felt so big taking all these pictures with the girls. :)

Random October 2013

Maddi has started to really feel like a reader this year. She got this chapter book from the library one day and I found her like this. She was so thrilled when she was done because she had read the whole thing. Love these moments!

I made these chore charts for the girls and one day I looked at Mia's and saw what was written (by her) at the top (Awesome Wednesday)….haha cracked me up. Apparently she was in need of some positive feedback for a job well done so she gave it to herself! LOL

Sleepy 4 year old…doesn't happen very often anymore!  

Singing a song for Feast of Faiths. Our church along with many other churches get together every so often to share their different beliefs. It was our church's  (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) turn to host in October so the girls had fun getting to participate by singing a song. 

Been so fun to see these two start playing together. Macee has started to get really into "babies". So cute!  

But after awhile she decides she'd really rather BE the baby! :)  

Halloween Camping Trip

Our friends that we go camping with planned a trip on Halloween (it was the only month that had a Friday off!) We decided after our last camping trip with Macee that trying to stay overnight may not be worth it especially because we had early soccer games (last games of the season on Saturday morning) so not wanting to miss out, we headed up on Friday morning the day after Halloween and hung out all day, cooked dinner with everyone that night and stayed late roasting marshmallows, and then headed back home to sleep in our own beds! It was actually really fun. All the benefits of camping without the middle of the night stress! :)

Halloween October 2013

Lance and I went to an adult costume party so we had to get creative with our costumes this year! If you couldn't tell we are Gru and one of his Minions from Despicable Me!

The last 2 years Mia's costumes have been inspired a books she's been reading. We have been VERY into Harry Potter this past year.

The girls were disappointed that Lance wasn't ALSO dressing up for trick-or-treating so he told them if he had a wig he would wear it….they said, "Oh WE have one" and ran to grab a ratty old "Ariel" Wig.  He thought he could pull off a punk rock look…..hmmmm ;)
