First Day of School September 2013

Maddi lost her 1st Tooth the night before the first day of school! She was SO excited. It had been loose for awhile. That night we were eating hamburgers for dinner and she felt something weird in her mouth so she pulled it out and threw it on the ground.. (we're still working on table etiquette at our house…:) ) It made a noise on the hard floor and we all heard it and looked at Maddi and she looked back at us with a funny expression and then the it hit her AND us what would make a noise like that. And the look on her face was PRICELESS. So surprised, excited, shocked, and then a little worry that she had just thrown her tooth on the ground. I'll never forget it! So we spent a couple minutes looking under the table and finally found it! Very exciting for her. :) 

Those cute pink cheeks are due to one of the most perfect beach days we'd had all summer the day before this... Labor Day. :)

Now as I write this we are half way through the school year…and one of my favorite things about this year is that Maddi and Mia have their last recess of the day together and they have been so excited to get to play together. It warms my heart…. so nice to know that when no one else is there they'll look out for each other.

Ella on her first day of Preschool (Mondays)

Ella on her first day of Little Scorpies (Tuesdays) a cute little preschool done at the high school for a child development class. 

Ella's my child that can go and go and go all day long. We always do our one day a week Joyschool because it's so fun for me to teach once every seven weeks and we love all the Moms and kids that do it with us. And that was all we were going to do this year but a couple of other opportunities came up on Mondays and Tuesdays so for the first half of the year Ella got to attend 3 different preschools! Sounds kind of crazy but it only amounted to 3 days a week. :) It was so fun but then the teacher of her Monday preschool had to move in Dec. so we decided it was good timing for us to stop. Now as I write this we are just down to 2 preschool classes a week and loving it! :)
