Dance Competitions March 2015
Back in January Mia was asked by her dance teacher to fill in on their dance team for a girl who was moving, and be part of a trio dance. It was a bigger committment but Mia was thrilled to take on the new challenge and her love of dance exploded with this opportunity. Their first competition was in Long Beach, the second in Anaheim, and the third in Riverside. We were able to go as a family to the first two competitions and on the last one we sent Mia down with a friend of ours as we were getting pretty close to the baby due date. They were long days but really enjoyable getting to watch Mia perform. They did a great job and got a few awards including second place in their category. Most importantly they had a ton of fun performing on a big stage!

Ella was so sad to say goodby to Mia the day she went to a competition without us. Probably one of the first times she had ever stayed overnight somewhere without us! This sisterly love warms my heart!
Miguels Funeral, Utah Trip March 2015
It was definitely a difficult funeral to attend, but a beautfiul one nonetheless. We were so grateful that we were able to be with Lance's family and the Silva Family at this time. It was really neat to learn more about Miguel's life through the friends and family who spoke at his funeral. He was truly loved by those around him and brought a lot of joy to many people's lives. It was nice as well to see my sister and her family, do piano lessons with Grandma Nelson, and celebrate Mia's Birthday a little early with a trip to the movies to see the new Cinderella movie and cupcakes afterward.
