Thanksgiving at Aunt Jilly's! This was the first year that we've traveled for Thanksgiving in all our married life! :) We decided last year was no fun by ourselves so we talked to my sister about visiting her up in Eastern Washington and what a fun trip it was!!! These are out of order going backwards but here you go. We started the trip out by stopping in Sacramento overnight and then onto Bend Oregon to see our good friends from Indiana the Russells. We hadn't seen them since we left Grad School 4 years before so it was great to catch up!!! And then onto Pasco to Jilly's house!
This was on our last day at my sister's house in the middle of a pretty awesome wind storm! Aunt Jilly (who was prego with twins and kinda supposed to be on bed rest!) took the kids out to chase leaves in the backyard! And look at that backyard...and can you believe that backyard?! My California mind can hardly comprehend how big it is!!! They'd have about 3 houses in that space here in Cali!

Our drive home from Washington was breathtaking!!! Especially the part in Southern Oregon/Northern California. I couldn't get over the beauty and couldn't stop taking pics!

Breakfast in the morning at Aunt Jilly's! My oldest sister Jen and her Fam joined us from Seattle as well as my Mom and my Grandmpa Chapman so it was a full house! The grownups were all tired from staying up too late and there are a lot of early risers in this group so we would leave notes for the BIG girls every morning telling them that we'd pay them if they would help all the littles get breakfast giving us a few extra min in bed! Ha! They took their job very seriously!!!

The day we all arrived my sisters (the ones that were there...just missing Lisa and Jodi!!) headed out after kids were in bed to get all the groceries we needed for the next couple days of cooking! We were quite the combo with our two carts, a prego lady driving the motorized wheel chair and another lady with way too many layers on (it wasn't THAT cold but my California body couldn't handle it!) and a large walking boot. Always an adventure at Walmart!
This was how the roads looked as we headed from Sacramento to Bend! YIKES! It got crazy for a bit but thankfully that was the worst of it and the roads were great the rest of the time! The next pic is only about 10 min later.
Just loved this picture! I've decided that 2-3 yrs olds are my favorites! Especially when I don't have a newborn in the mix! :)
