Disney Date for Lance's Bday

Since the first time we had Disney Passes Lance and I had this great idea to do a DATE there. We love Disneyland as much as the kids (hence the reason we are willing to get season passes) and we thought how fun it would be to go eat at the restaurants we never eat at with kids in tow and then enjoy all the other free entertainment available. We could never make it happen the first time around but since adding a fourth child to the mix those overnight dates and getaways have moved up on the priority list... and we were determined to make it happen this time. Thankfully we have a college age girl here that we know from church who is just wonderful and she agreed to watch our kids for 2 days so we could go. After some more thought about it and a closer look at our budget at that time we decided it was more worth our time to just get an early start and only stay for the day. This kind of doubled as Lance's Birthday celebration as well. Our only catch in the plan was that we had just found out that baby number 5 was on the way....this meant a little adaptation in our pace and the rides we rode (I tried to find some research to support my desire to ride all the big rides justifying to myself that you can't even tell yet, but as expected the research was not supportive so I decided it was not worth risk and we enjoyed some other things.)We spent the day together just the two of us but we convinced some good friends who live in Irvine to meet up with us for dinner that night and it was a great ending to an awesome day! :)

Lunch at the Blue Bayou. We've always wanted to eat here (its the one you can see while you are riding Pirates of the Caribbean) and it was worth all the wishing! Lance was eating the Monte Cristo Sandwich. I loved the gumbo.

Happy Birthday to Lance!!
They even included a little Mickey Mouse Cake for him that was just as decadant as everything else! YUM

The only BIG ride I justified for the day! Splash Mountain! :) No jumps or jolts just a big slide! haha

Love all the decking out they do for Holidays at Disneyland.

Cars Ride...my other big Thrill!

Once Jordan and Cassie got there Lance had people to ride Screamin with! Yay!

Our of order but this the beginning of the Day at California Adventure

Watching the Aladin Show we sat up high this time and took this picture for the girls so they could see the magic carpet ride!
