Random January 2014

January is always one of my favorite months. I love putting all the Christmas Decor away and having my house feel clean and plain. After the whole first half of the school year, soccer, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and usually getting sick over and over in there I feel like January is our chance to catch our breath and have some space in our life! Here in California we also a few really great beach days as well. Every January Lance and I recommit/revamp our healthy living goals. Last year we tried this thing called "Great in 8" that Lance's sister was heading up. It was great motivation to eat more veggies, drink more water, eat less sugar, workout more, and try things like not eating after 8pm. All good things for us and we had a lot of fun doing it. This year Lance and I both signed up for races (He's doing a half Marathon at the end of March and I'm doing a Ragnar at the beginning of April)...(there's nothing like paying money and knowing you HAVE to do it get you motivated to work out) ., got a gym membership at the YMCA, and have started trying a slow-carb diet. We've really enjoyed training for our races and the increased motivation to get sugar and other not great stuff out of our diet and more veggies into it....also throughly enjoying "cheat day".  Yay for a New Year!

The girls took these pictures of themselves so they could send the pics to some friends and show off their favorite Christmas Gifts. Mia's: Rainbow Loom, Molly's School Bag, and Molly's Lunch Box.

Maddi's: Emily's pjs and her dog Bennet.

Ella's: Sophia the First Doll and puzzle, and her beaded jewelry making kit.

Babysitting Baby Rayne!
The girls all loved this...even Macee. She thinks of Rayne as such a baby compared to herself...haha

So cool!

"Cool Girl" This is for my sister Jilly...she'll know why! haha

Maddi and Ella took a Gymnastics Class for a few weeks in January. While waiting Mia was showing me HER gymnastic skills. She has been dying to take gymnastics for awhile now so she's looking forward to trying out this year.

Cheese! Macee has become quite the picture poser.

So fun to have your big sister read to you!
