Macee's First Birthday May 22nd 2013
Where did the time go?!!! Macee's first year FLEW by (obviously since I'm JUST now updating her first Birthday 6 months after the fact!) We just love our little Macee! She really spent her first year just going with the flow of our crazy life so calmly. We could tell though that she was just itching to move around and keep up with those big sisters. At one year she was just on the verge of walking, starting to get around the house more and the baby proofing started coming into play for us. It was fun to see her start to explore the house and get excited about everything around her. We love her sweet personality, her desire to see what's going on around her, her hugs and kisses that she doles out only so often, and the sweet spirit and joy she brings to our family!
We kept things simple for her 1st Birthday and had our good friends over to celebrate with cupcakes! I'm not sure why we did the presents in the highchair (the kids were probably so excited to give them to her that they couldn't wait!) but she was pretty excited!
She kept saying "oooh, oooh about everything"
These are a little out of order but here is the aftermath of the cupcake eating!
At one year old one of Macee's favorite places was inside the dishwasher.
Found her one day doing some marking in her scriptures! She's definitely observed her sisters doing this. :)
She was thrilled when she could make her way over to the little car in the backyard!
Broccoli and Spaghetti were and still are two of Macee's favorite things to eat!
Macee's Birthday cupcakes
Happy Birthday to You!
This is my FAVORITE part of the First Birthday! Macee was probably my most cautious child when it came to the cupcake. She took a lot of time to warm up the idea of eating it. haha
Not so sure how she felt about having frosting on her hands...
Once she got a taste though....
Yay!!!
And it was all over!
All done!
Another fun one year old moment!
First time wearing a dress-up and pushing a stroller. Love this!
