Christmas Eve

So fun to have Christmas Eve dinner with our good friends the Henries.
Volunteers for the prayer!

Our traditional tamale dinner. Tamales compliments for Costco this year! :) Some years we've made them ourselves and some years we've bought them. Last year was definitely our most interesting year with AUTHENTIC Guatemalan tamales complete with masa that looked and tasted like rice cereal and chicken with the bones still in it on the inside! Costco didn't disappoint this year. And the rest was all Lance with his yummy rice and beans. My contribution...Tres Leche Cheesecake...yum!

The Best Nativity ever!
If you can't tell we have Mary/snowwhite on the far left, Joint Angels in the Middle, and a Shepard on the right. Joseph (played by little Brian) was there but not present for this picture. I wish my videos would post because the actual play was pretty cute. We had a little bit of contention between Mary and Joseph but all turned out well in the end!

Opening Jammies on Christmas Eve.

It was so fun to open Mia's gift that she made at school for Lance and I.

We used a leftover tree from our service project to put in the Girls room and let them decorate to their hearts content.

Christmas Jammies!!!!
Children off to bed....and now the REAL fun begins for the parents. We were laughing when at about 11:00 at night one of our neighbors stopped by (our garage was open as we were busy setting up gifts AND packing for our drive to Utah the next day) telling us that quite a few other neighbors were in their garages setting up ping-pong tables, and all the other things you have wait to the last minute to do!
