This was a few weeks after we planted...they grew quite a bit!
The Girls came rushing up to my room the morning that they discovered that our onion seeds had sprouted!
For a few years now I have been wanting to have a garden but for many different reasons it was never good timing...until now! A couple of my family members have done the square foot garden method and now having a small backyard and living somewhere, where you can harvest stuff almost year round this was the perfect option for us. It was simple, it's easy to maintain, and it's been fun so far. Now we need to see if anything will grow!

I read the same book this past year and we have a square foot garden also. Fun times. I am currently terrified of the next few weeks when my HUGE 16 tomato plants go from green to red and I have to figure out how to can (seemed like a good idea at one point).

That's so funny. We were just thinking the same thing about our tomatoes, however we only have like 2 or 3 not 16!!!! You'll have to make lots of salsa and spaghetti sauce. :)
