More Random....

"It's my Night Cap!"

One night when Lance was gone I was doing the bedtime craziness on my own and in passing I remembered Mia and Maddi playing with some basket liners and commenting on their "night-caps", I nodded or gave some sort of an "uh huh" or "oh that's nice" and didn't give it another thought until Lance came home. After checking on the girls he came into our room and said, "Have you seen Mia? What is she wearing on her head?!", and then it all came together and laughing I said, "Oh it's her Night Cap." Lance was like, "Her What???". I went in to check on her and realized that she was totally serious about it and decided a picture was in order. It's funny b/c she's gone to bed a few times since with her night cap securely on her head. Funny Girls. I'm pretty sure this is a Little House on the Prairie reference....interesting the things they pick up from stories we read, I don't remember much myself about night caps but apparently it stuck with them. :)

Crafty Project.

I don't get around to many crafty projects these days but it's still something I love to do and am currently trying to MAKE time for it in my life on occasion.

Lance brought home an old desk from work that we painted white. Then we took an old kitchen chair we've had since we were married and painted that white. And Finally Mia and I picked out some fabric for it and recovered the little cushion to give it a new look. Very easy, cheap, and Quick!

Tea Party

When my Grandpa passed away my Grandma gave me some of her crystal while she was trying to pack up her house so I had promised the girls we would have a tea party with it sometime. They were pretty excited about it.
