Day off from School

I think this must have been Martin Luther King Day, but lately when Mia has a day off from school I can think of no better way of spending it than by not going ANYWHERE! We spend so much of our time these days, getting ready to take Mia to school, dropping her off, going back home, rushing to do lunch and naps (or preschool on the off days), waking everyone up to go back and pick her up, coming back home, and only having a bit of time left for chores, and homework, and playing before it's dinner and bed time! I think the girls (as well as Mommy) enjoy a day when we have no commitments, no places to be, and we can work at our own pace. We usually tend to be a bit more scraggly looking, and toys and books seem to take over the house on those days...but when I see things like this....I think I live with the other (for at least a day...haha...the clean freak in me can only be subdued for so long!).
